Job summary

A leading logistics company in Singapore is seeking a Billing Specialist to handle invoicing, payment processing, and customer service in the Freight Forwarding industry. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of relevant experience in Airfreight Billing and knowledge in Air Export documentation. This role offers a basic salary of up to $4000, 13th Month AWS, and variable bonuses, along with comprehensive responsibilities in maintaining accurate billing practices. An established MNC in the Freight Forwarding/ Logistics Industry

Work Location: East/ 5 Days Week/ Company Transport Provided

Basic Salary Up to $4000 + 13th Month AWS + Variable Bonus

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and send accurate invoices to customers or clients.

  • Ensure that billing is done according to the company’s policies, client agreements, and payment terms.

  • Review client accounts and billing histories to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Correct billing errors and discrepancies promptly.

Data Entry and Record Keeping
  • Input billing data into the company’s accounting or billing system.

  • Maintain detailed records of transactions, invoices, and payment histories.

  • Ensure that client and payment information is up to date in the system.

Payment Processing
  • Track and monitor client payments, ensuring timely collection.

  • Follow up on overdue payments by contacting clients via phone, email, or letter.

  • Apply payments to the correct accounts and resolve any payment issues.

Customer Service
  • Address and resolve client billing inquiries and disputes.

  • Provide support to clients regarding billing and payment concerns.

  • Assist clients with setting up payment plans or resolving issues related to their invoices.

Reporting
  • Prepare and generate regular reports on billing and payment statuses for management.

  • Assist in reconciling accounts receivable balances.

  • Maintain accurate records to assist in the preparation of financial reports.

Compliance and Auditing
  • Ensure that billing practices comply with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information.

Job Requirement
  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or higher educational qualification.

  • Has at least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in Airfreight Billing from the Freight Forwarding industry.

  • Knowledge in Air Export documentation.

  • Preferably with Cargowise or relevant freight software experience.

  • Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willing to work OT if required.

  • Able to perform in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Possess good analytical skills and team player.

  • Computer literate.
