What You’ll Do

We are looking for Lead / Principal IT Architects (Enterprise, Solution, or Cloud) to strengthen BCG Platinion’s architecture leadership and delivery capabilities in Southeast Asia. This is a senior, client-facing role for technology leaders who combine strong architectural depth with strategic perspective, and who are comfortable shaping direction while remaining hands‑on when required.

You will play a critical role in defining enterprise technology strategies, leading architecture design, and driving complex digital and IT transformation programs for leading organizations.

What You’ll Do

• Work cohesively in hybrid case teams consisting of BCG and BCG Platinion consultants on large-scale IT and digital transformation programs
• Provide enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and IT strategy advisory to senior client stakeholders, particularly within Financial Institutions and/or Insurance sectors
• Align business strategy and technology architecture to deliver tangible outcomes in partnership with client leadership
• Lead current-state assessments, define target-state architectures, and develop pragmatic transition roadmaps
• Define, guide, and oversee the implementation of enterprise and solution architectures, including proof‑of‑concepts and pilot initiatives
• Design innovative, scalable technology solutions across complex client environments to address critical business challenges
• Drive innovation by bringing cross‑industry perspectives on emerging technology trends, platforms, and delivery models
• Build trusted relationships with senior client executives, actively influencing decision‑making and technology direction
• Contribute to business development, including shaping proposals, supporting presales activities, and presenting to senior stakeholders
• Mentor and develop junior architects and consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in strategy, management, or technology consulting and/or relevant industry or digital roles, within Financial Services/Insurance/Telco/other industries
• Proven experience across enterprise, solution, application, data, and/or cloud architecture domains
• Strong track record of architecting and delivering enterprise‑scale solutions in complex environments
• Solid understanding of architecture principles, with hands‑on exposure to modern data platforms and digital ecosystems
• Experience leading high‑performing delivery or case teams in complex transformation programs
• Demonstrated experience in presales, proposal development, and senior client presentations
• Ability to thrive in a hypothesis‑driven consulting environment, framing strategic technology challenges with clarity
• Strong analytical skills, structured problem‑solving ability, and conceptual thinking
• Excellent communication, storylining, and client‑facing consulting skills
• Strategic mindset with senior presence and professional gravitas when engaging executive stakeholders
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF; relevant certifications are a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• MBA, Master’s, or PhD is highly regarded
• Flexibility to travel within Southeast Asia and the Asia‑Pacific region
• More experienced candidates may be considered for appointment at the Principal IT Architect level.
