Job summary

A consulting firm in the technology sector is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within AWS infrastructure. The successful candidate will conduct security assessments, implement best practices, and develop automated scripts for vulnerability scanning. A minimum of 2 years in cloud security, particularly within AWS, is required along with relevant certifications. This position is based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in cloud security, particularly within AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and risk management.
• Familiarity with Tenable AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Experience with security vulnerability tools and platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant AWS or RHEL certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability tests on our AWS services to identify potential threats and weaknesses.
• Implement best practices in AWS security, including configuring security groups, IAM policies, monitoring tools and maintain VMS apps e.g. Tenable.
• Develop and maintain automated scripts for vulnerability scanning and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address vulnerabilities promptly and effectively.
• Stay current with the latest security trends, tools, and AWS features to enhance our security posture.
• Prepare detailed documentation and reports on findings and remediations for management and compliance purposes.
