AVP/VP, Delivery Model Lead (Mizuho Asia Pacific)

The Delivery Model Lead plays a key role in supporting the end‑to‑end establishment of a new delivery location in India. This role involves operationalizing the target delivery model by coordinating cross‑functional activities across location strategy, governance, resourcing, infrastructure readiness, and compliance.

Delivery Model Implementation & Planning
  • Support the implementation of the target delivery model for the Mizuho APCF’s India operations
  • Detail out the delivery model to clearly outline the roles and reporting lines
  • Develop and maintain a phased execution roadmap with clear timelines and milestones
  • Track progress against the implementation roadmap, proactively identifying risks or issues and developing mitigation plans to resolve them
Stakeholder Management & Governance
  • Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders and governance committees through reports or dashboards on the progress of the delivery centre set‑up in India
  • Drive coordination across APAC stakeholders based in Singapore and India to speed up the set‑up and ensure smooth operationalisation of the delivery centre
Infrastructure Set‑up
  • Oversee readiness and set‑up of physical infrastructure (e.g., office space, IT hardware, end‑user devices, connectivity, security access)
  • Ensure all enterprise systems (e.g., email, VPN, collaboration tools) are configured for the new site
Hiring & Onboarding Enablement
  • Liaise with APCF domain heads to support the ramp‑up of resources in India, planning demand and working with local HR teams on talent sourcing to align resources with the planned timelines
  • Define and operationalise onboarding processes and procedures
  • Monitor adherence to headcount and budget plans to ensure minimal deviation
Vendor Engagement
  • Work with the identified delivery partners to operationalise the build‑operate‑transfer construct for the offshore delivery centre
Requirements
  • 8–10 years of experience in technology delivery, transformation, or operating model design, ideally within banking or financial services
  • Proven experience in setting up and operationalising offshore delivery model set‑ups and outsourcing/offshoring programmes within the banking or financial services industry
Qualifications
  • Strong program‑management skills with the ability to handle complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives across geographies and functions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and drive consensus
  • Familiarity with vendor‑engagement models and experience managing external service providers is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of operational, technical, risk and regulatory requirements (both industry wide and local) for launching new delivery sites in India
  • Demonstrated ability to work with geographically distributed and cross‑functional teams, including IT, Legal, Risk and Finance
  • Experience setting up an offshore delivery model for Asian companies in India will be preferred
