Job summary

A technology support company in Singapore seeks an AV/IT Support Engineer to provide continuous support during evening classes and events. Candidates should have operational knowledge of audio and visual technologies, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. This position provides opportunities for learning new technologies and involves working with MS Office tools.

Qualifications

  • Operational knowledge of Audio, Video and IT services will be an advantage.
  • Preferably to have some experience working in an educational environment.
  • Able to perform under stressful situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide standby support for classes and events conducted in the evenings and Saturdays.
  • Help in answering calls made from the Intercoms to the Helpdesk.
  • Work with student helpers assigned for night/weekend duties.
  • Provide onsite support for audio-visual at learning spaces and event venues.
  • Rectify faults or provide workaround solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Provide daily updates and weekly summaries on attendance and incidents.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties related to AV/IT when tasked.

Monday, Fridays and Saturdays: 06:45pm – 10:30pm

Saturdays: 08:00am – 05:00pm

Make-up Class Days: 08:00am – 10:30pm

About the Job

Provide continual AV/IT support to our users during your working hours. Maintaining operations for the weeknights or make-up classes on weekends and for events happening around the premises. The support engineer needs to be able to provide a solution or a work‑around, keeping disruptions at minimal whenever an incident is reported.

This person must be pro‑active in nature, with a keen interest towards new technologies. He needs to be able to operate microphones, computers, room control systems, video conference solutions (Zoom and MS Teams) and any other Audio‑Visual devices found in the Company Learning spaces and event venues.

A learner’s attitude is highly sought after, and opportunities will be given for such individuals

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide standby support for classes and events conducted in the evenings and Saturdays.
  • To help in answering calls made from the Intercoms to the Helpdesk
  • To work with the student helpers who are assigned for night/weekend duties
  • To provide onsite support for audio‑visual at the COMPANY learning spaces and event venues relating to Zoom Room, Wireless projection, Audio, Projection and other classroom related technologies.
  • To rectify faults and/or to provide workaround solutions, ensuring classes and events can carry on where disruptions are kept at a minimum
  • Provide detail updates and reports daily on attendance and on incidents received during duty and provide summary of cases received weekly.
  • Do other ad‑hoc duties related to AV/IT when tasked by COMPANY staffs.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  • Responsible, resourceful and must be able to perform under stressful situations.
  • Preferably to have some experience working in an educational environment
  • Operational knowledge of Audio, Video and IT services will be an advantage
  • Able to work with MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel)
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally
