Introduction

The Temasek Community Stewardship (CS) team is responsible for managing Temasek’s philanthropic assets and advancing community initiatives that connect people, uplift communities, protect the planet and advance capabilities in Singapore and beyond.

This role will report to the Director, Community Stewardship, and operates as part of a common resource pool, with tasks assigned based on organisational needs and with scope to contribute across multiple workstreams.

The successful applicant will be exposed to strategic and operational aspects of the CS team as he/she contributes to the delivery of several impactful community programmes relating to workforce development, scholarships, and social enterprises.

Responsibilities
  • Support development of community programmes to amplify impact, including
    • Analysing proposals and conducting benchmarking against projects of similar scope;
    • Preparing and presenting insights to support Management in their decision-making;and
    • Contribute to programme evaluation and strategic planning discussions and support translating discussion ideas into actionable next steps.
  • Manage operational and administrative processes required for efficient implementation of community programmes, including
    • Scheduling and coordinating meetings across projects;
    • Engaging and managing stakeholders and volunteers;
    • Preparing relevant materials (e.g., briefs, contracts, etc.); and
    • Outcomes tracking and reporting.
  • Assist in delivering communication initiatives that further position Temasek as a leader in philanthropy, including
    • Organising engagement events for portfolio companies and entities in the Temasek non-profit ecosystem;
    • Updating and enhancing the corporate website and Intranet; and
    • Preparing other engagement materials (e.g., newsletters).
  • Handle other ad-hoc tasks and special projects as required by the CS Team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree from a reputable university.
  • 5 or more years of work experience in strategy consulting/advisory, corporate strategic planning, project management, philanthropy fund management or other relevant functions.
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams effectively and switch between tasks quickly.
  • Detail-oriented mindset; holding a high standard of accuracy and adherence to timelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to take proactive steps and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in preparing senior-ready decks and briefs.
  • Understanding of corporate governance principles and comfortable working with legal documentation.
  • Willingness to learn and take on responsibilities beyond initial scope.
  • Interest in topics related to the community, social impact, and corporate philanthropy.
