Job Summary
  • Finance business partner to Global Business Unit Healthcare.
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting and forecasting including management reporting and analysis, performance tracking and issue management, target setting process, commercial deal appraisal and proposal preparation, decision making support and investment opportunity analysis, internal controls, process harmonization and simplification.
General Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leadership to build the business, build the organization and safeguard company assets and legacy by providing financial insights and future projections in support of tactical and strategic decision making, showing impact on financial results.
  • Monitor global Business Unit performance relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenses and profit margin, as well as working capital, analyzing trends in key performance indicators and making recommendations for increase in financial performance and efficient usage of resources in line with earning.
  • Create regular and ad hoc variance analysis reports and financial models that provides historical and forward looking visibility, recommendations and business partnering for senior management decision making and in support of commercial initiatives; follow up on action items.
  • Support global annual target setting process within the region by developing standardized and semi-automated templates, consolidate short and mid-term commercial plans and help prepare presentation for senior management level.
  • Implement and make use of various business intelligence tools and dashboards to support various departments and senior management with data-driven analysis.
  • Support regional commercial teams on multi-country RFPs, build-up various costing and pricing scenarios to win additional business, prepare profitability analysis, align key financial terms across markets to build consolidated and aligned proposal to clients. Participate in key clients’ meetings and support with finance related aspects of the negotiation.
  • Drive Commercial Finance activities, including modelling and scenario analysis for deal structuring, generating client and customer insights, developing pricing frameworks and managing rebates/incentive analytics, reviewing and negotiating key financial terms in commercial contracts, and providing post–go-live finance support for key accounts across markets.
  • Support management in the analysis of different investment opportunities such as M&A due diligence, earn out calculations, joint venture strategies, new business model set-up, and negotiation strategies. Leads financial due diligence and integration for M&As as well as in- and out-licensing transactions.
  • Participate and drive continuous improvement initiatives at global level to harmonize and simplify Finance processes, improve efficiencies through a better utilization of automated systems and increase efficient use of resources. Work with country Finance Business Partners to drive consistency of master data, reporting and analytics.
  • Drive high quality internal business controls and policies across the region in support of market operations that drive financial growth.
  • Oversees capital project funding by coordinating with treasury, supports accounting teams to ensure timely, accurate audits and aligns with tax on structures such as royalties and trading fees.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
  • Minimum eight to ten years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with regional business controlling exposure
  • Minimum three to five years’ experience in a managerial capacity
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices
  • Proven hands-on experience in SAP accounting applications is an advantage
  • Demonstrate strong research and analytical skills, including statistical computations
  • Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Education

Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
