We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President, Life and Shield Claims.

In this role you will

  • Handle all the tasks related to claims recovery including but not limited to calling customers and agents, filing claims to 3rd party insurers on behalf of customers, correspond with third party insurer(s) and company human resource personnel(s) on claim recovery matters
  • Handle all the recovery admin duties such as responding to recovery emails including escalation from distribution channels, transacting MSHL payment to CPF Board, performing Incentive payment to eligible policyholders and be able to support the team in admin work whenever help is needed
  • Provide timely customer service by communicating effectively and promptly with policyholder(s)/ claimant(s)/agent(s)/group insurer(s)/company human resource personnel(s) and internal staff on recovery or related work matters and to ensure customer satisfaction in the services provided
  • Ensure system is updated promptly upon claims recovery
  • Provide training to internal staff and distribution channel(s) on Claims recovery
  • Provide reconciliation on all incoming payment and incentive payout cross reference to finance report(s)
  • Other tasks assigned by HOD/Supervisor(s) as and when required, including but not limited to administrative work (ie AM/FS bill and invoicing), generation of claim recovery reports, statistics & recovery trend analysis
  • Work as a team and provide support to the department when colleagues are on leave, on course or on medical leave

To be successful you will need

  • Relevant working experience, preferably in life/shield/health insurance company
  • Familiar with health insurance processes and good insurance knowledge is an advantage
  • Good written and oral skills; Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly and have a positive mindset
  • Customer‑centric and meticulous with the ability to work under pressure; High level of integrity takes accountability and ownership, and a team player
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
