Job description

The Assistant Manager FP&A will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the FMCG and distribution business. Acting as a key finance business partner to commercial, sales, supply chain and marketing teams, the role provides insights on business performance, product profitability, and channel performance, enabling data-driven decisions and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including commentary on revenue, volume, product, and channel performance.
• Analyze variances versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, highlighting key business drivers.
• Build and maintain financial models to support sales, marketing, and distribution forecasts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts, including scenario planning for volumes, revenue, and margins.
• Prepare management reporting packs and presentations for business review meetings; present financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Act as a finance business partner, providing advisory support for commercial, marketing, and operational initiatives, product launches, and channel strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance business performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 6 years of FP&A or commercial finance experience, preferably in FMCG or distribution.
• Strong financial planning and analysis, reporting, and modeling skills.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to influence and partner with commercial teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
• Knowledge of FMCG KPIs (volume, revenue, margin, channel performance) is a plus.
