Job Summary

Assistant Manager, HumanResources & Administration

This role supports the full spectrum of HR and administrative functions, ensuring a well‑organised, compliant, and employee‑centric environment. The position combines hands‑on HR operational work with opportunities to contribute to broader people initiatives that strengthen culture, enhance processes, and improve employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the HOD in managing the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, compensation & benefits, employee relations, employee welfare, learning & development and performance management.
  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to senior management on workforce planning, succession strategies, and talent development.
  • Oversee payroll administration and HR updates.
  • Identify training needs, plan and coordinate development programs, track and evaluate their effectiveness, and support succession planning initiatives to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with Singapore labour laws, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention strategies, including wellness, feedback, and development initiatives.
  • Manage the performance appraisal process and support continuous improvement in performance culture.
  • Implement and optimise HR systems, analytics, and SOPs for efficiency and transparency.
  • Drive digitalisation and HR projects.
  • Coach and mentor junior HR staff to build internal HR capabilities.
  • Lead or support HR audits and budgeting processes.
  • Monitor HR metrics (turnover, retention, hiring timelines, etc.) and provide reports for management.
Administration
  • Oversee general office administration, including office supplies, vendor management, facility upkeep, and maintenance coordination.
  • Manage office services such as reception, courier, travel booking, meeting room coordination, and IT equipment requests (in collaboration with relevant teams).
  • Support planning and execution of office events, staff engagement activities, and corporate initiatives.
  • Ensure workplace health & safety compliance and support business continuity planning.
  • Track and manage administrative budgets, invoices, and payments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Studies, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR and Admin experience, preferably in a fast‑paced corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore labour laws, HR best practices, and HRIS systems.
  • Proven leadership and decision‑making skills in handling HR matters independently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High level of critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR analytics (e.g. Excel dashboards, HR reports).
  • Ability to handle strategic and operational responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
