  • Strong knowledge of food safety and proper food handling practices is a MUST.
  • Willing to work shift hours, weekends, and public holidays.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Kitchen Operations
  • Receive, check, and store ingredients following FIFO and food safety rules
  • Prepare and serve Japanese dishes according to recipes and standards
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, labelling, and consistent quality
Leadership
  • Guide and train junior staff
  • Lead the kitchen team and maintain smooth operations during peak hours
Hygiene & Safety
  • Follow SFA/NEA food safety guidelines
  • Maintain clean equipment and workstations
  • Open/close kitchen stations independently
Menu & Quality Control
  • Assist in menu planning and new dish development
  • Conduct tastings and quality checks
  • Suggest improvements for food and operations
Inventory & Costing
  • Assist in stock control, ordering, and reducing wastage
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and ingredient freshness
  • Support cost-control efforts to meet food cost targets
Coordination
  • Work closely with service and F&B teams
  • Follow instructions from F&B Managers promptly
📌What We’re Looking For
  • At least 1 year relevant experience in Japanese Cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and proper food handling practices is aMUST
  • Willing to work shift hours, weekends and public holidays
  • 2 off days per week (scheduled by Management)
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and positive attitude
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Willing to learn and adapt; immediate starters preferred
