A construction material manufacturer in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee day-to-day financial operations, manage credit control issues, and lead a team of accountants. The ideal candidate will review financial materials for quarterly reviews, conduct credit control meetings, and work closely with internal auditors to optimize accounting procedures. • Lead and coach accountants supporting the business.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee day-to-day finance operations for Singapore entities (4 active and 5 inactive entities)
2. Review and approve journal vouchers, balance sheet schedules, bank reconciliations, and GST submissions
3. Lead and coach accountants supporting the business in Singapore and Malaysia
4. Review financial materials prepared for quarterly performance reviews with management and operations teams
5. Work closely with the Sales Team and legal counsel on credit control issues, including overdue accounts, legal actions, and debt recovery
6. Conduct fortnightly credit control meetings and provide recommendations on credit limits and terms
7. Review and approve new or annual credit applications through financial analysis and market insights
8. Collaborate with internal auditors to strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls
9. Review management reports to provide insights and identify opportunities for cost optimization
10. Oversee tax computation, budgeting, ROI analysis, and feasibility studies for new projects
11. Manage administrative access (E-Bacs, CorpPass, credit search, etc.)
