Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to support the company’s controllership function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, supervise a finance team, and partner with auditors, regulators, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the full spectrum of accounting functions of the company, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Goods & Services Tax (GST), Corporate Tax, and Reporting.
  • Manage all accounting requirements, including operational, statutory, management, and financial reporting.
  • Supervise and develop a team of accounting professionals to ensure effective performance and growth.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, Shared Services provider, professional advisors, governmental authorities, bankers, customers, and suppliers on finance and compliance matters.
  • Oversee all statutory reporting, audit, tax, compliance matters, and Enterprise Risk Management, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and implement improvements in internal controls and processes to minimize risk exposure.
  • Ensure proper credit control and effective management of accounts receivable.
  • Review, formulate, and enhance finance policies and procedures.
  • Maintain efficient and effective workflow systems and make recommendations to management for improvements when necessary.
  • Review current ERP systems, assist in training and support of financial systems and processes, and system implementation projects where required.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials, reports, and presentations for senior management and relevant governance committees, including assisting in secretarial matters.
  • Undertake other duties or ad‑hoc projects as assigned by Management.
Requirements
  • Degree in accountancy, ACCA equivalent or other professional accounting qualification.
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in general finance, controlling & accounting functions.
  • Experience in ERP system implementation will be an added advantage.
  • Leadership quality with good people and supervisory skills and ability to manage change within the team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a team player.
  • Hands on, self‑motivated, meticulous and committed personality and adhere to reporting deadlines.
  • Good understanding of Corporate Governance, GST, Tax and Statutory requirements in Singapore.
