A leading M&E contracting firm in Singapore seeks an Assistant Director (Mechanical) to drive project success and quality in building services. The ideal candidate will leverage strong engineering skills and extensive experience, ensuring compliance with engineering tasks and adherence to ISO standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing site coordination, managing supplier materials, and ensuring quality installations. Applicants must hold a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 5 years of managerial experience in the M&E sector.
Our client, a well-known M&E Sub-contractor firm, is looking for candidates for the Assistant Director (Mechanical) position.
Join a dynamic team as an Assistant Director (Mechanical) where you will leverage your engineering expertise and coordination skills to drive project success and quality in building services.
Demonstrate effective site problem-solving and coordination abilities with clients.
Oversee engineering tasks, ensuring design adherence and compliance with building services code of practice.
Ensure quality of materials and installations by suppliers and subcontractors in alignment with ISO standards.
Coordinate and monitor the quality of materials and equipment from suppliers and manage subcontractor installations.
Produce and manage shop drawings while ensuring correct coordination among all drawings.
Develop work schedules and actively participate in client and internal meetings.
Assist management with day-to-day activities linked to master planning, focusing on quality and safety.
Ensure efficient collaboration with main contractors to minimize rework.
Manage site materials and equipment to mitigate wastage.
Maintain close communication with suppliers and subcontractors to minimize delivery delays impacting project progress.
Identify and rectify non-conformance in products or installations to prevent defects.
Research and implement new technologies and installation methods to enhance productivity.
Monitor site progress and maintain clear communication with subcontractors and suppliers.
Perform other related tasks as required.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant managerial experience in the M&E contracting environment.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
Certified as an ISO Internal Quality Auditor.
Completed Building Construction Safety Supervisor Course.
