Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Applications Developer – Avaloq to drive analysis, design, and delivery of Avaloq-based banking and wealth management solutions. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to translate business requirements into cost-effective, high-quality application solutions while ensuring regulatory and architectural compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead analysis, design, and solution validation activities within the assigned domain
- Conduct requirement workshops and solution discussions to ensure complete requirement coverage
- Capture customer business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements
- Define functional and technical designs for new features and system adaptations
- Bridge gaps between business requirements, solution design, development, and testing teams
- Formalize business requirements through documentation such as functional and technical specifications
- Document business processes including As‑Is and Target workflows, use cases, and scenarios
- Mediate discussions between business and technical teams and take decisions based on feasibility, cost, and strategy
- Act as a subject matter expert in specific functional areas and deep‑dive into requirement or solution gaps
- Support consulting projects, client workshops, and act as the primary contact for functional queries
- Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and escalate to the project or delivery manager in a timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or related field
- 6–9 years of experience in Financial Technology environments (Wealth Management or Core Banking)
- Strong experience with Avaloq (preferred)
- Good understanding of financial and global market regulations
- Strong analytical and product management skills
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict management abilities
- Structured, organized, and detail‑oriented approach with focus on quality deliverables
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of testing concepts; test automation experience is a plus
