Job summary

A leading technology service provider in Singapore is seeking an Application Support Engineer (L2/L3) to provide 24/7 shift application support. The candidate will manage production issues, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure seamless operation of business applications. Ideally, this role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in banking environments, strong knowledge of Java, Spring-boot, and SQL databases, and the ability to troubleshoot across the full application stack.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in banking or anti-money laundering.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting applications on full stack.
  • Experience in production support in Windows and Unix environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 application support in shifts.
  • Coordinate infrastructure maintenance activities.
  • Manage new application releases following best practices.
  • Address production issues and enhance support processes.

About the job Application Support Engineer(L2/L3)

Contract Duration - 12 months Renewable

  • Willing to work in shifts to provide rotational 24/7 shift application support duties as mentioned below.
  • To coordinate and support infrastructure maintenance activities.
  • To manage implementations of new application releases; adhering to the best practices of the release management process.
  • To work with various partners such as Peer Application Teams, Infrastructure, Vendors, Security and Change teams, to provide seamless support for the business.
  • To manage Production issues by responding in a timely manner in accordance to the Service Level Agreement with the Business
  • To enhance existing support process to maintain/improve service level & quality.
  • Has experience or knowledge on Incident and Problem management.
  • Health check and monitoring production system and job scheduling to ensure SLA is meet.
  • Troubleshoot and solve production issues related to performance and reliability throughout the software stack.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the system and work to resolve these issues before they become a problem.
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience, preferably in Banking or Anti money laundering.
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience on troubleshooting the applications run on full stack preferably in Java, Spring-boot, Microservices.
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in production support in banking applications running on Windows and Unix environments.
  • Should have strong hold on SQL server/Oracle databases and able to write/debug the SQL programs.
  • Good knowledge in Linux/Unix/Windows environment and scripting.
