Your role and responsibilities

As a Digital Technical Specialist aligned to zStack, you'll be a collaborative technical expert and trusted advisor working with and across your clients, IBM's broader sales teams, and Business Partners. You'll understand clients' business and technical requirements within the current competitive landscape and, combining this with your knowledge of IBM's product suite, you'll present value‑driving solutions that compel clients to invest in us. A typical day may involve: zStack Leadership: Leading as the primary zStack expert, managing technical sales opportunities within the team. Technical Support Excellence: Offering technical support during early sales stages, including demos, POCs, and workshops for all client types. Cross‑Team Collaboration: Collaborating across IBM sales teams to manage territories and identify opportunities. Value Communication: Communicating the unique value of assigned brand products compared to competitors. Digital Personal Brand Building: Building a strong personal brand across various digital platforms to establish trust and expertise.

Required technical and professional expertise

Full stack developers should be able to work in the modern cloud‑native environment. The cloud‑native solutions are built around: Microservices based modular designs, API driven microservices, Continuous release and improvement cycle via Agile, Event Driven Architectures, Containerized workloads, Serverless Architectures, Purposed databases and Progressive Web Applications based on SPA and microfrontends.

• Developing rich UI applications based on SPA or microfrontends
• Frameworks: ReactJS, Angular (any one of these)
• Development of scalable and resilient backend microservices that are based on 12 factor principles, a bounded context of the business domain and expose the functionality via API and event interfaces
• Development of data model in modern SQL and No‑SQL modelling techniques
• Knowledge of microservices purposed programming languages.
• Runtimes: java > 8, GraalVM, NodeJS, Python, .Net (proficient in one of these)
• Frameworks: Springboot (must have), Quarkus, Django, Express Js
• Proficiency of hyperscaler cloud services and frameworks
• Developing Event Driven Applications using Kafka, Zookeeper
• Knowledge of cloud‑native CI/CD for change release.
• Knowledge in Test Driven Development

AWS Full stack developers need to be proficient in running and managing services on AWS:

• PaaS: EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, ROSA (One container and a serverless compute service), Service mesh
• Content: CloudFront, Lambda@Edge
• Routing Services: API Gateway, ALB, NLB, Route53
• Databases: AWS Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB
• Event Driven: SQS, SNS, Kinesis Streams, Dynamo Streams, AWS MQ, AWS MSKafka (at least one messaging and one streaming service)
• Observability: CloudWatch, X‑Ray, Event‑Bus
• DevSecOps: CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CodeCommit, Tekton, KMS, Secrets Manager, IAM, Cognito, OIDC, CloudFormation, SAM, BeansTalk
• Storage: S3
• Networking: VPC, EC2.
