WHO IS IT FOR?

Ideal for individuals with a diploma or degree in Computer Science or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience relevant IT experience. Candidates should also be equipped with an analytical mind with problem‑solving aptitude. Having knowledge in the JiBe system and ability to troubleshoot programming and system problems are advantageous.

DESCRIPTION

Application Analyst (IIT), FMS (1‑YEAR CONTRACT)

The function is to:

Support the design, development, and continuous improvement of the Fleet Management System (FMS) and other digital solutions to meet operational and strategic needs of the shipping business. This includes understanding user requirements, analyzing business processes, and delivering reliable, fit‑for‑purpose application support.

Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and translate operational needs into functional specifications. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and implementation of solutions.

Collaborate with fleet operations, technical, and IT teams to ensure the FMS and related applications run smoothly, support operational efficiency, and maintain high data integrity.

Promote effective communication and alignment between technical and business users, ensuring seamless flow of information, ideas, and enhancements.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide daily functional support for users of the Fleet Management System, including troubleshooting system issues, guiding users through system functionalities, and addressing hardware/software configuration challenges related to the FMS environment.
• Maintain a detailed log of system issues, bugs, and incidents, along with resolution steps and status updates for future reference and root‑cause analysis.
• Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regular performance checks to ensure system stability and functionality.
• Evaluate user requests for new features or changes by analyzing feasibility, compatibility with existing systems, resource needs, and potential risks. Provide clear recommendations to stakeholders.
• Assist in managing FMS‑related projects, including vendor coordination, project planning, progress monitoring, and ensuring delivery meets defined scope, timeline, and budget.
• Participate in the design, configuration, and deployment of FMS modules or enhancements to improve fleet operations, technical management, safety, compliance, or maintenance processes.
• Support data preparation and reporting for fleet performance, maintenance, compliance, and budgeting. Create reports, dashboards, and documentation to support decision‑making.
• Perform application maintenance and updates to align with user needs and business changes. Ensure software patches and upgrades are tested and deployed effectively.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation, user guides, and system manuals in accordance with company standards.
• Stay informed on maritime digital solutions, fleet technologies, and application support best practices to enhance service quality.
• Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company’s operational and digital transformation goals.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCES

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
