Job description

Job title: Air-Con Technician

Company: Our client is a multinational corporation specializing in port services within the Southeast Asia region.

The Air-con technician will play a vital role in resolving technical matters for company, clients within the aircon domain and ensuring client’s satisfaction for the aircon services.

Job Description:

• Installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing various types of air conditioning systems including split units, window and cassette units within client's facilities.
• Reviewing blueprints, installing air conditioning systems, commissioning, testing systems for proper functioning, performing emergency repairs, maintaining tools, ordering supplies, and making routine adjustments to maximize operational efficiency.
• Performing routine preventive maintenance and corrective works on air conditioning system to ensure they are working smoothly and efficiently.
• Perform routine servicing such as cleaning filters, chemical washes, and overhauls
• Diagnose, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
• Installing, replacing, or repairing equipment that has been damaged such as replacement of aircon compressor, fan coil motors etc.
• Attending to breakdown, servicing, repairing and emergency requests.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and preparation of service report for client’s endorsement upon completion of service/ repair/ installation work.
• Complying with safety procedures, service standards, work instructions, and clients' requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
• Any other tasks or duties assigned by Supervisor and Management.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
• Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC in air conditioning, electrical, mechanical engineering or suitable equivalent.
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and drawings.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, kneeling or standing, lifting heavy equipment, working in limited spaces and hot outdoor environment during the course of work.
• Able to work on weekend and public holiday when necessary.
• Able to work independently and as a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin communication, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders in the region.
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving job responsibilities and a dynamic work environment.
