Job description

Makemechamp Pte Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Care & Tuition Teacher to join our team. This position can be based in the West or East Regions, where you will be responsible for providing exceptional academic support and nurturing care to our students. As an After School Care & Tuition Teacher, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their full potential.

What you'll be doing

1. Delivering engaging and interactive tutoring sessions to students across a range of subjects and grade levels not exceeding Secondary School Levels.
2. Providing a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and grow.
3. Developing personalized learning plans to address the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
4. Monitoring student progress, providing regular feedback, and collaborating with parents to ensure their child's success.
5. Participating in extracurricular activities and events to enhance the overall student experience (learning journeys / excursions etc.)
6. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student progress and attendance
7. Fetching of the students either at their respective pick up points at the school (walkable distance) or at bus drop off points.

What we're looking for

✅ Academic Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Local Diploma from any Polytechnic Institution in Singapore

• Being bilingual (English + Mother Tongue) is a highly preferred due to requirement to test primary school levels of Mandarin Spelling.

• Proficiency in ONE other subject apart from Language is also preferred (E.g. Maths or Science).

• Candidates with NO experience are welcomed.

• Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and academic standards for the grades you will be teaching.

✅ Other Requirements:

• Good communication and classroom management skills (feedback for parents / management of the children)

• Responsible, caring, and enjoys working with children (Primary school level)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and their families

  • Creativity and resourcefulness in designing and delivering engaging lessons

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed

• Willingness to undergo relevant training (e.g., Student Care Centre Basic Course, First Aid Certification) if required by the centre.

• Willingness to travel between centres (Tampines / Tengah) in the event of required coverage of other teaching schedules.
