Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is looking for an Accounting and Administrative Support professional to assist with various back-office tasks. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree or Polytechnic Diploma, with 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Proficiency in Google Workspace tools is advantageous. Candidates with Japanese language skills will have an added advantage, although it's not mandatory. This role provides an opportunity to engage with both local and international stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Accounting experience in Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in Payroll is preferred.
  • Strong skills in multitasking and organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking counterparts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support accounting activities, including invoice creation.
  • Liaise with accounting firms and handle payroll.
  • Process government paperwork and maintain file organization.
  • Support recruiting and internal audit activities.
  • Manage website and provide ad hoc support.

Job Description
  • Understand all projects being run by the company for back office purposes
  • Support accounting activities, including creation of invoices through the Xero platform
  • Liaise with Accounting firm (e.g. Prepare the necessary information for book keeping and send it)
  • Payroll (using Maju system) and other HR admin (e.g. Leave management, using Google Sheets)
  • Support recruiting activities (e.g. drafting of LOAs, On-boarding process.)
  • Internal Audit (Accounts close at the end of Nov, shareholders' meeting at the end of Feb.)
  • Support legal-related activities (creation of contracts, etc.)
  • Process government-related paperwork (including filing of taxes)
  • Ensure file organization based on office protocol
  • Provide ad hoc support around office as needed
  • Communication with various people locally and internationally
  • Website management, if needed
  • Possibility of providing back-office support to group companies and the start-ups which this company supports
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or Polytechnic Diploma holder
  • At least 1-2 years of Accounting experience (Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable)
  • Experience in Payroll is preferred
  • Japanese skill is an added advantage to read documents in Japanese and communicate with Japanese speaking counterparts (Not a must)
  • Knowledge and experience of systems used in the back office is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proficient in Google Workspace tools, including Google Documents, Google Sheets, and Google Slides is a plus
  • Proficient in usage of online meeting tools, including Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
  • Journalizing experience and bookkeeping knowledge is a plus
  • Science background or interest in science is a plus
