Job summary

A technology firm located in Singapore seeks a diligent individual for a role focused on procurement and inventory management. You will manage purchase requisitions and negotiate with suppliers while maintaining accurate inventory records. Strong computer skills, proficiency in Mandarin, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Prospective employees should also be prepared for a 5.5-day work week during the probation period, with alternating Saturdays off after confirmation.

Qualifications

  • Must be computer literate, preferably in Microsoft Office/UBS.
  • Should demonstrate strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Must be a good team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for communicating with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase requisition, quote, and purchase order documents.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing.
  • Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records.
  • Handle customer inquiries and issue invoices.

Job description
Responsibilities [Purchasing/Inventory]
Procurement (50%)
  • Manage purchase requisition, quote and purchase order documents.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
  • Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with Sales/Production teams to align procurement needs.
Inventory Management (40%)
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records, ensuring accurate data entry in our inventory management system.
  • Monitor daily stock movement.
  • Perform regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
  • Handle incoming shipment to get feedback from storeman if there is any quality/quantity issues.
Sales admin (10%)
  • Handle customer enquiries and correspondences (walk in & email)
  • Issue invoice, delivery order.
  • Process work order - issue cutting advice to production.
  • Assist customer query and prepare sales quotation.
  • General administrative duties.
Requirements
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office/UBS.
  • Good initiative, ability to work independently & able to take instructions efficiently.
  • Good team-player & interpersonal skills.
  • Able to commit 5.5days work week during probation period. Alternate Saturdays off will be provided upon confirmation
  • Proficient in Mandarin to speak with Mandarin speaking clients
