Job summary

A leading events and HR firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to ensure the timely preparation of financial statements and management reports. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience, a degree in accountancy or ACCA equivalent, and the ability to lead and coach fellow team members. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Accounting and Xero is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience required.
• Proficient in using accounting software or ERP systems.
• Ability to adhere to local statutory and GST requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting deliverables including financial statements and management reports.
• Review financial documents to ensure compliance.
• Guide team members and escalate issues to management as necessary.

Job description

• Ensure the timely preparation of accounting deliverables (financial statements / management reports / GST filing) required
• Review of supporting financial documents (invoices, bank statements)
• Review of the financial information/management accounts prepared by associate
• Ensure that clients comply with local statutory and GST requirements
• Provide guidance and advice on matters (accounting/GST) and escalate these matters to manager if required
• To be an effective coach/leader to fellow team members
• Ensure the timely processing and sending of invoice upon the completion of engagement
• Ensure the timely circularization of AR chaser emails and timely collection of AR

Requirements:

• Degree in accountancy / ACCA equivalent
• Have at least 5 years of working experience relevant
• Proficient in using accounting software or ERP system. Proficiency in Sage Accounting, Microsoft Office and Xero would be an added advantage
