Qualifications

  • Re(insurance) banking or financial services background is preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Sound knowledge of accounting software and MS Office programs.

Job description
The Role

This is a pivotal role in managing relationships with our captive insurance clients ensuring their service requirements are met with excellence. You will be the main contact point for a portfolio of clients whilst overseeing various financial management tasks including production of key deliverables such as management accounts regulatory returns and audited financial statements accurately and additional you will liaise with clients colleagues and the captives service providers to ensure regulatory compliance support corporate governance practices and enhance financial / operating efficiencies of the portfolio under your management.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that client related accounting compliance regulatory and appropriate tax work prepared for external client and internal client is accurate.
  • Liaise with internal / external stakeholders bankers brokers regulators actuaries internal / external auditors tax agents company secretary in a professional manner.
  • Manage treasury / investment functions for captive insurance clients and perform reconciliation where required.
  • Handle insurance and claims accounting processes on behalf of captive insurance clients.
  • Interpret MAS / ACRA Regulations including guidelines and circulars and ensure all relevant prescribed standards are met at all times.
  • Assume responsibility for client service delivery such as Management / Financial reporting to clients and Statutory reporting to regulatory bodies in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standards including all relevant returns in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate client board meetings and assist in the production of board materials.
  • Minutes taking if required and ensure proper documentation of decisions.
  • And any other additional duties (including administrative duties) that may be assigned to you by the Company from time to time.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.
  • Assist the Managing Director on projects implementation to support the business.
  • To assist in the provision of company secretarial functions including preparation of notice and agenda board packs taking minutes and creating action points from client board meetings.
  • To work as an efficient member of the client servicing team.
  • To develop and be part of a team strategy.
  • To participate in team meetings. Ensure maintenance of organizer and to do lists.
  • Ensure current understanding of Irish Financial Regulator rules and guidelines.
  • Ensure current understanding of IFRS UK GAAP & US GAAP accounting requirements.
  • To read up on Captive Insurance training materials for familiarity.
Qualifications
  • Relevant accounting qualification & experience.
