Job description

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining a full set of accounts including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
• Handle tax matters including the quarterly GST filing and corporate tax
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Reconciling bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts
• Providing support for internal and external audits
• Collaborating with the finance team and other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and up-to-date
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient financial practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a full‑cycle accounting role, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, including GST regulations and reporting requirements
• Proficient in the use of ABSS (MYOB) and QuickBooks accounting software
• Strong proficiency in financial accounting and reporting, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial best practices
• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting or a related field
