Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a proactive Monitoring Specialist to join our team in Singapore. You will monitor batch job processing, perform first-level problem determination, and escalate issues as needed.

Training on SOPs and ITSM will be provided, with exposure to monitoring tools and SQL queries. You will work with System/Application Support engineers to improve monitoring, participate in daily operations, and coordinate change communications with clients.

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset to understand business concepts.
• Proactive, self-driven and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with ticketing systems is a nice-to-have.
• Experience with monitoring tools and basic SQL queries is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system and batch job processing; perform 1st level problem determination and resolution; escalate issues and alerts promptly.
• Assist System/Application Support engineers with system and batch jobs recovery.
• Setup and maintain monitoring maintenance policies for systems under maintenance.
• Collaborate with System/Application Support engineers to improve monitoring and alerts.
• Participate in Daily Operations meetings and prepare Health Check reports.
• Coordinate with Change Manager for client communications at change start/end.
• Provide 24x7 rotating shift roster support (12-hour duties).
• Conform to established standard operating procedures.
