Overview:
The Transport Manager leads the planning and design of ADC’s national transport network infrastructure. This includes optical (DWDM), microwave, and IP/MPLS systems that connect RAN, core, and data centers. The role ensures high availability, scalability, and security across transport domains and supports future evolution into programmable and automated networks.
Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture and engineering of ADC’s transport network, ensuring alignment with service demands and future capacity requirements.
Manage transport expansion, node upgrades, and routing design across national fiber and microwave infrastructure.
Oversee link design, provisioning, and commissioning of DWDM, OTN, and IP/MPLS elements.
Collaborate with field, core, and RAN teams to ensure seamless cross-domain connectivity.
Monitor transport network KPIs, troubleshoot service issues, and implement optimization measures.
Coordinate vendor engagement for equipment procurement, support, and software upgrades.
Ensure compliance with availability, latency, and SLA objectives across transport domains.
Support strategic planning initiatives such as 400G readiness, segment routing, and SDN-based transport.
