Position Summary

The Contract Administrator is responsible for managing and overseeing contract administration activities across large-scale construction projects, serving as an in-house contractual advisor to project teams. The role ensures proper interpretation, implementation, and compliance with complex contractual terms in both Arabic and English, while safeguarding the organizations commercial and contractual interests. The position supports contract formation and management processes, reviews commercial components throughout project phases, and provides expert guidance on contractual matters, including dispute resolution, change orders, and risk mitigation. Acting as a key contractual resource, the Contract Administrator collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver practical solutions to complex contractual challenges and ensure adherence to government and commercial procurement regulations. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced contracts professional with strong expertise in contract law, drafting, negotiation, and administration within multidisciplinary construction environments.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities
  • Maintain functional responsibility for contract administration activities as an in-house consultant.
  • Manage complex contractual terms in both Arabic and English, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Act as an advisor on contractual disputes and client-related contractual matters.
  • Support other departments with contract formation and contract management services.
  • Support projects in reviewing commercial components across all project phases.
  • Serve as a key contractual resource within the project team, providing practical solutions to contractual challenges and guiding stakeholders on contract-related matter.
  • Demonstrate strong contractual knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to think proactively and develop practical solutions to complex issue.
  • Provide confident guidance and support to project teams on contractual interpretation, risk awareness, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor's in engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 20 years experience in contract management, including overall responsibility for contract management on large-scale projects.
  • Technical and administrative knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices, government and commercial procurement regulations and practices, policies, procedures and work practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, effective correspondence, planning and scheduling.
  • Thorough knowledge of prime contracts management administration as well as (sub) contract formation and administration, execution office and field procedures and documents relating to a multi-discipline construction project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
