Role Overview and Objective:

To achieve sales and collection targets by building strong customer relationships, maintaining consistent market presence, and applying sound technical expertise in Large Animals Vaccine and Medication, while driving divisional growth and reinforcing the company’s position as the most trusted and preferred supplier in the market in alignment with DHV’s strategic objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales, margin, and collection targets for assigned territories and product lines, in accordance with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Execute the sales plan with discipline, adhering to structured call cycles, customer visits, and CRM reporting routines.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with dairy farms, beef farms, equine centers, camel farms, regional distributors, wholesalers, veterinary clinics, and animal pharmacies.
  • Ensure optimal product mix and pricing discipline in line with company guidelines.
  • Promote the full portfolio of products, utilizing cross-selling and up-selling strategies based on customer needs and technical suitability.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of marketing campaigns, product launches, and field events within the territory.
  • Use technical arguments and relevant data to reinforce value propositions and successfully close sales opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with veterinarians, farm owners, and key decision-makers, upholding professionalism and transparency in every interaction.
  • Conduct regular farm and clinic visits to understand customer challenges and provide tailored technical and commercial solutions.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for product information, pricing, order management, delivery coordination, and after-sales service.
  • Address complaints and service issues promptly, collaborating with Supply Chain and Technical teams to ensure complete resolution.
  • Provide timely and actionable market feedback to management regarding customer trends, competitor activities, and product performance.
Technical Product Support
  • Provide technical guidance on vaccine and medication usage, handling, and storage.
  • Support customers in disease prevention programs and vaccination schedules.
  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to veterinarians and farm managers.
  • Act as a technical resource to customers in coordination with veterinary and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with Technical and Marketing teams to ensure accurate, up-to-date, and compliant communication of product benefits and applications.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback within the territory.
  • Collect and report accurate sales data, forecasts, and market insights to management.
  • Identify risks and opportunities affecting product demand and customer performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and visit reports using approved systems.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements for veterinary products.
  • Promote responsible use of vaccines and medications in line with animal health standards.
  • Adhere to cold chain, storage, and product handling procedures during sales and delivery activities.
  • Support pharmacovigilance and product quality reporting processes as required.
Collaboration & Business Development
  • Work closely with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure product availability and timely collections.
  • Participate in marketing campaigns, field trials, and customer education programs.
  • Support product launches and special projects as assigned by management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales practices and customer service standards.

Required Qualifications:
Academic Qualification:
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in animal health or agriculture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine, Animal Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field would be desirable.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in animal vaccines, veterinary medicines, or animal health products.
  • Proven experience working with animal farms, integrators, veterinarians, or distributors.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and manage customer accounts within an assigned territory.
Professional Qualification:

Formal training or certification from a regional or international recognized body in animal health products, veterinary pharmaceuticals, or animal production is preferred.
