Job summary

MBRF Global Foods Company S.A. is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to operate, monitor and maintain the WWTP in Jeddah.

You will ensure water quality meets environmental standards, perform routine maintenance on pumps, tanks and dosing systems, and document activities in SAP. The role requires a technical/vocational qualification with 2+ years of WWTP experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ year technical/vocational qualification in a relevant field (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic or Environmental/Chemical)
• Experience operating/maintaining WWTP equipment and processes
• Familiarity with water quality monitoring and chemical handling

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain the WWTP to ensure treated water meets standards
• Perform routine operation and maintenance of WWTP equipment (pumps, aeration, dosing, clarifiers)
• Monitor treatment parameters, perform lab analyses and adjust chemical dosing as required
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control-related issues; support maintenance activities
• Record activities in SAP and support continuous improvement
• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and PPE; maintain housekeeping and compliance with HSE, HACCP, GMP, 5S

What will you be doing at MBRF?

• Operate, monitor and maintain the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to ensure treated water quality meets company and environmental standards
• Perform routine operation and maintenance of WWTP equipment, including air blowers, pumps, screens, sludge separation and transfer systems, dosing systems, clarifiers and related treatment equipment
• Monitor treatment parameters, perform laboratory analysis, maintain operational records and adjust chemical dosing when required
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control-related issues and support corrective, preventive and scheduled maintenance activities
• Inspect equipment regularly, identify abnormalities and take corrective actions to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime
• Record maintenance and operational activities accurately in SAP and support continuous improvement activities
• Ensure proper handling of chemicals, tools and PPE and maintain good housekeeping across WWTP areas
• Ensure all activities comply with HSE, environmental, HACCP, GMP, 5S, food safety and company standards

What kind of profile are we looking for?

• Minimum 2-year technical/vocational qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Environmental/Chemical studies or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and related equipment, preferably within the Food/FMCG industry
• Hands-on knowledge of WWTP processes and equipment, including pumps, blowers, chemical dosing, sludge handling, filtration and water quality monitoring
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical/electrical systems and read engineering drawings, P&IDs and relevant technical diagrams
• Knowledge of water/wastewater analysis, chemical handling, HSE and applicable environmental standards; familiarity with SAP, MS Office, RCA, PDCA and 5S
• Familiarity with PLC, BMS, DCS, SCADA or HMI control systems is an advantage
• Based in Jeddah or willing to relocate to Jeddah, with flexibility to commute to the factory location
