Job summary

MBRF is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform repair, refurbishment and fabrication for machinery. You will operate lathe, milling, drilling and other equipment, and carry out preventive maintenance while ensuring compliance with HSE and food safety standards.

Based in Jeddah or willing to relocate, you should have a technical diploma and hands-on welding experience (arc, gas, TIG) along with drawing interpretation skills. SAP/MS Office familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma/certificate in Mechanical Trade, Turning, Welding or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in machine shop, welding and mechanical maintenance activities, preferably within Food/FMCG or a similar industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience in arc welding, gas welding and argon/TIG welding.
• Experience operating lathe, milling, drilling, grinding and other machine shop equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical components, drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and lubrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of SAP and MS Office is an advantage.
• Based in Jeddah or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repair, refurbishment, modification, welding and fabrication activities for machinery and equipment.
• Operate machine shop equipment such as lathe, milling machine, shaper, planer, drill press, grinders and band saw.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to established maintenance standards and procedures.
• Inspect and maintain workshop equipment, special tools and spare equipment in good working condition.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability activities together with the Maintenance team.
• Ensure proper workshop housekeeping and comply with HSE, GMP, 5S, HACCP and food safety requirements.
