Job summary

Soundlines Consultancy is seeking reliable Airport Drivers for Jeddah Airport (JED) to transport passenger luggage, assist in baggage handling, and support ground operations on day and night shifts.

Candidates should have a valid driving license, basic to good English, and be physically fit to lift up to 32 kg. Prior airport ramp or baggage handling experience is preferred. Rotational shifts, weekends and holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Transport passenger luggage safely between baggage, ramp, aircraft and terminal areas.
• Deliver unloaded wheelchairs and child strollers to designated locations.
• Handle and transport luggage/cargo as per operational requirements.
• Inspect ramp areas adjacent to gates and aircraft for debris and ensure removal.
• Operate assigned vehicles/equipment safely within airport areas.
• Report vehicle/equipment malfunctions or safety issues to supervisor/manager.
• Comply with airport authority, security, safety and operational requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Transport passenger luggage safely between designated baggage, ramp, aircraft and terminal areas during arrival and departure operations.
• Deliver unloaded wheelchairs and child strollers to the designated locations.
• Handle and transport luggage/cargo as per operational requirements and supervisor instructions.
• Support Bag Hall activities whenever required.
• Inspect ramp areas adjacent to gates and aircraft for debris and ensure proper removal and disposal.
• Operate assigned vehicles/equipment safely within designated airport areas.
• Report vehicle/equipment malfunctions, defects or operational issues immediately to the concerned Supervisor/Manager.
• Comply with airport authority, airline/carrier, security, safety and operational requirements.
• Follow all airside safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any accident, incident, occurrence or unsafe condition immediately.
• Take reasonable care of personal safety and the safety of colleagues and other airport personnel.
• Assist in maintaining efficient baggage handling and ground handling operations.
• Perform duties in different weather conditions and during day/night shifts as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidates with previous airport, ramp, baggage handling or ground handling experience will be preferred.
• Valid and appropriate driving license is mandatory.
• Experience as Airport Driver, Ramp Driver, Baggage Driver, GSE Driver or Ground Handling Driver will be an advantage.
• Candidates with experience in baggage transportation, baggage sorting or airport ramp operations preferred.
• Basic to good English communication skills required.
• Good understanding of airport safety, airside operations and security procedures.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting/handling baggage weighing up to 32 kg.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions.
• Willing to work in rotational shifts, including day/night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow airport operational procedures.
• Responsible, punctual, disciplined and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Candidates must be willing to work at Jeddah Airport (JED), Saudi Arabia.
