Job summary

Kerten Hospitality is seeking a courteous and professional Waiter/Waitress to join their dining team in a fast-paced environment. You will greet guests, present menus, take orders using Revel or Toast POS, and ensure accurate delivery of meals and beverages.

The role requires excellent English, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. Shifts are available with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous waiter/waitress experience required.
• Cash handling and POS systems experience.
• High school diploma required.
• Food safety training is a plus.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort customers to their tables.
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., portions, ingredients, allergies).
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses.
• Inform customers about daily specials.
• Offer menu recommendations on request.
• Upsell additional products when appropriate.
• Take accurate food and drinks orders using a POS system or memorization.
• Communicate order details to the kitchen staff.
• Serve food and drinks to tables.
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation.
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
• Deliver checks and collect payments.
• Carry dirty dishes to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Meet with staff to review specials and service standards for reservations.
• Follow health department regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests.

• Take accurate food and drinks orders using a POS ordering software order slips or by memorization
• Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
• Serve food and drink orders
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments
• Carry dirty plates glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
• Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations e g parties
• Follow all relevant health department regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to guests

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
