Technical Authority – IP Core

Saudi Information Systems (SIS) is seeking an experienced Technical Authority – IP Core to deliver expert 2nd line support across IP Core and transmission networks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical to maintaining service continuity, meeting SLA commitments, and ensuring rapid resolution of incidents in a high-availability managed services environment. The position is full‑time, with a 24/5 shift and on‑call support responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line troubleshooting support for IP Core, routers, L2/L3 switches, and transmission/IP nodes.
• Support and maintain IP/MPLS networks in coordination with third‑party and vendor teams.
• Perform node acceptance, configuration management, and problem management activities.
• Handle outages, service degradations, and customer service recovery follow‑ups to ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct network audits, reporting, and software upgrade or maintenance activities.
• Verify MDT/TCN activities and ensure correct implementation in live networks.
• Support fiber‑optic and related teams during complex troubleshooting and incident handling.
• Coordinate closely with design, vendor, and customer teams to resolve recurring issues.
• Ensure service restoration, operational compliance, and adherence to SLA requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with IP Core and IP/MPLS network architectures.
• Solid expertise working with routers, switches, and transmission/IP nodes.
• Proven experience in network troubleshooting, configuration, and operational support.
• Good understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Ability to work in a 24/5 shift‑based environment with on‑call support responsibilities.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a managed services, SLA‑driven environment.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience working in large telecom or service provider networks.
• Exposure to multi‑vendor environments (e.g., Ericsson or similar).
• Familiarity with network performance reporting and audit frameworks.
• Previous experience in NOC, Tier 2, or technical authority roles.
