Job summary

ACWA Operations is seeking experienced Shift Engineers for opportunities across RO desalination and CCGT plants in Saudi Arabia. The role leads plant operations during shifts to ensure safe, reliable water production or power generation while maintaining equipment availability and compliance with IMS and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising shift personnel, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring effective handovers with strict adherence to HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in water desalination and/or power generation plants.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in Middle East preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise shift operations, coordinating plant personnel and schedules to meet targets.
• Oversee RO desalination and/or CCGT systems including major equipment.
• Direct start-up, shutdown, load changes, and emergency responses per procedures.
• Monitor conditions, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
