Job summary

ACWA Power is seeking a Shift Engineer for a CCGT power plant in Rumah, Riyadh province, Saudi Arabia. You will supervise shift operations, manage GT, ST, HRSG and BOP systems to ensure safe, reliable generation and HSSE compliance.

You will lead a team of operators, coordinate with maintenance, and monitor performance through the DCS while driving continuous improvements in availability and fuel efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, power or related engineering.
• Minimum 8 years in power generation plant operations.
• At least 2 years in supervisory/shift leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with GT, ST, HRSG and associated systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily CCGT plant operations.
• Monitor generation output, heat rate, efficiency via DCS.
• Coordinate start-up, shutdown, synchronization and load changes.
• Manage shift personnel and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with Maintenance on PTW, LOTO and safe return-to-service.
• Ensure HSSE compliance and incident reporting.
• Maintain shift logs, equipment status reports, and SAP notifications.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant availability, reliability, and fuel efficiency.
