Job summary

Acwa Power seeks a Shift Engineer for a CCGT power plant in Rumah, Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. The role involves supervising daily operations of GT, ST, HRSG, and BOP, ensuring safe, reliable generation and compliance with HSSE standards.

The candidate should have 8+ years in power generation, 2+ years in leadership, and hands-on experience with DCS, SAP, PTW/LOTO, and plant startup/shutdown processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in power generation plant operations, CCGT preferred.
• 2+ years in supervisory or shift leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with GT, ST, HRSG, and associated auxiliary systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily CCGT plant operations ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Monitor generation, heat rate, and parameters via DCS; take corrective actions.
• Coordinate start-up, shutdown, synchronization, and load changes.
• Manage shift personnel including CCR and Field Operators.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for isolation, PTW, LOTO, and repairs.
• Ensure HSSE compliance and incident reporting.
• Maintain shift logs, equipment status, and SAP maintenance notices.
• Identify opportunities to improve availability, reliability, and efficiency.
