Job summary

Al Jomaih Energy and Water seeks an experienced Power Plant Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day functions of a combined cycle facility in Saudi Arabia.

The role demands strong leadership, adherence to PPA terms, safety culture, and collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize reliability and performance.

English proficiency is essential, Arabic knowledge is a plus; shift work including nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• 8 years in power plant operations with 2+ years in supervision.
• Experience with combined cycle plants preferred.
• Siemens GT based CCGT experience preferred.
• English proficiency; Arabic knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the combined cycle power plant, aligning with design parameters.
• Ensure generation meets PPA demand by monitoring load and adjusting output.
• Lead and mentor the operations team during shifts, enforcing safety practices.
• Promote safety culture and provide training to improve capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with PPA terms and environmental standards.
• Use plant controls to monitor KPIs and respond to alarms and anomalies.
• Prepare shift reports detailing performance, incidents, and deviations.
• Coordinate with maintenance/engineering for outages and improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and professional development.
