Job summary

AECOM in Riyadh is seeking a highly experienced Senior Resident Engineer with 15+ years of road, railway and infrastructure project experience. You will oversee site activities, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, and coordinate with the client, contractors and project teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required along with strong site supervision, construction management, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in construction and infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in road and railway projects.
• Experience with engineering consultancy firms.
• Site supervision and construction management experience.
• Knowledge of construction methods, specifications, and quality standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration.
• Saudi/GCC project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage construction activities for road, railway, and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with client, contractor, and consultants to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, and standards compliance.
• Review contractor submissions and method statements.
• Lead site inspections and enforce quality control procedures.
• Prepare and review progress reports and provide technical recommendations.
• Manage and coordinate site supervision teams.
• Identify project risks and support timely issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and engineering standards.
