Job summary

Power International Holding (PIH) is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer in Saudi Arabia to oversee procurement processes, develop strategies, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve best value. The role focuses on supplier performance, compliance with policies, and driving cost efficiency across categories.

The ideal candidate has strong negotiation and analytical skills, experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP), and a track record of improving procurement operations.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of procurement principles, processes, and regulations to effectively manage the procurement function.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements with suppliers, maximizing value for the organization.
• Excellent analytical abilities to assess supplier proposals, evaluate contract terms, and make informed procurement decisions.
• Proficiency in procurement software and systems to streamline procurement processes, track purchases, and generate reports.
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the procurement process to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services at best value.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance to optimize costs and quality and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Define and communicate supply strategy and inform stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement, elimination of non-value-added work, and operational excellence in strategic sourcing.
• Lead delivery of savings and operating cash flow programme in categories (products/services).
• Identify metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities.
