The Senior Planning & Performance Specialist will support the development, execution, and monitoring of the organization’s strategic and operational plans.
The position is responsible for translating organizational objectives into measurable KPIs, monitoring departmental performance, preparing executive-level reports, and working with business units to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
The ideal candidate must have direct experience in corporate planning, strategy execution, KPI governance, performance reviews, and management reporting. Experience limited mainly to data analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, or business analysis will not be sufficient unless it includes clear responsibility for organizational planning and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the annual strategic and operational planning cycle across departments.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic planning frameworks, policies, methodologies, and governance processes.
- Translate strategic objectives into departmental goals, initiatives, KPIs, targets, and action plans.
- Develop and maintain organizational scorecards, KPI dictionaries, performance dashboards, and reporting templates.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews to assess progress against approved objectives and targets.
- Identify performance gaps, conduct root-cause analysis, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor strategic initiatives, milestones, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
- Facilitate planning sessions and performance-review meetings with department heads and senior management.
- Prepare executive reports, presentations, performance summaries, and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of performance information submitted by departments.
- Coordinate with Finance and other relevant departments to align strategic priorities, operational plans, workforce requirements, and budgets.
- Conduct benchmarking and organizational-performance analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support departments in developing measurable objectives and realistic performance targets.
- Follow up on approved corrective actions and ensure that performance issues are properly addressed.
- Contribute to continuous-improvement, operational-efficiency, and organizational-effectiveness projects.
- Promote a performance-driven culture through guidance, awareness sessions, and stakeholder engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
- At least 4 years of direct experience in strategic planning, corporate performance management, or strategy execution.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and monitoring organizational KPIs and strategic initiatives.
- Practical experience with Balanced Scorecard, strategy maps, OKRs, or similar performance-management methodologies.
- Experience preparing reports and presentations for senior management or executive committees.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good working knowledge of Power BI or another business-intelligence platform.
- Strong written and spoken English and Arabic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as PMP, KPI Professional, Balanced Scorecard Professional, OKR certification, Lean Six Sigma, or Strategy Management certification.
- Experience in a training institute, educational organization, government-related entity, industrial organization, or large corporate environment.
- Experience working with ERP, strategy-management, project-management, or performance-reporting systems.
