Job summary

CG Resourcing Ltd is assisting a leading international contractor in Riyadh to appoint a senior lifting coordinator. You will develop lift plans for complex lifts, manage crane capacity and ensure safe coordination across multiple towers.

You will oversee around 25 tower cranes, review subcontractor plans, conduct risk assessments, and mentor riggers and signalers while aligning lifting operations with project schedules and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in lifting coordination on busy construction sites.
• Valid certification as Lifting Supervisor or Appointed Person (e.g., CPCS A61, LOLER AP) or country equivalents.
• Experience managing multiple tower cranes on complex sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed lift plans for critical/complex lifts, considering crane capacity, load weight, geometry, and environment.
• Coordinate daily lifting activities among contractors, crane operators, riggers and site supervisors.
• Oversee operation of ~25 tower cranes for optimal utilization and safe coordination across zones.
• Review and approve lifting plans and method statements by subcontractors.
• Conduct risk assessments for lifting operations and implement control measures.
• Supervise and mentor lifting teams, including riggers and signalers, promoting safe practices.

Job description

My client is a leading international contractor with a track record of working on major construction projects all over the world. They are currently working on a very high profile construction project in Riyadh and are looking for a senior lifting coordinator for the following;

• Develop detailed lift plans for all critical and complex lifts, considering crane capacity, load weight, geometry, and environmental conditions
• Coordinate daily lifting activities among multiple contractors, crane operators, riggers, and site supervisors
• Oversee the operation of approx. 25 tower cranes, ensuring optimal utilization and safe coordination across various work zones
• Review and approve lifting plans and method statements prepared by subcontractors
• Conduct risk assessments for lifting operations and implement control measures
• Supervise and mentor lifting teams, including riggers and signalers, promoting safe practices and competency development
• Liaise with engineering, construction management, safety teams, and clients to align lifting operations with project schedule and safety requirements

candidates should ideally have an engineering or construction degree but must have at least 10 years experience as a lifting coordinator and should have experience of managing multiple tower cranes on busy and complex construction sites. candidates should have Valid certification as a Lifting Supervisor, Appointed Person, or equivalent (e.g., CPCS A61, LOLER Appointed Person, or country-specific equivalent)
