Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Senior Irrigation Engineer to lead design, planning, and optimization of irrigation systems for large-scale landscaping and infrastructure projects. You will guide hydraulics, layouts, and documentation, and mentor junior staff from concept through execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in irrigation design, preferably within landscaping projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and RainCAD.
• Proven experience in large-scale landscape or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in GCC projects is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, subsurface) for complex projects.
• Perform and review hydraulic calculations, including pipe sizing, pressure zoning, and system optimization.
• Oversee preparation of irrigation layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate closely with landscape architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Support project teams during tendering, estimation, and value engineering stages.
• Evaluate new technologies, materials, and suppliers to improve system efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct site visits to support installation, testing, and commissioning of irrigation systems.
• Identify risks and propose technical solutions to ensure timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, subsurface) for complex projects


• Perform and review hydraulic calculations, including pipe sizing, pressure zoning, and system optimization


• Oversee preparation of irrigation layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation


• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications


• Coordinate closely with landscape architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration


• Manage design coordination meetings and resolve multidisciplinary clashes


• Ensure compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and sustainability standards


• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
