Senior Irrigation Engineer

Job summary

Dar, the founding member of the Sidara group, is seeking an experienced Irrigation Engineer to oversee the design review, construction supervision, testing and commissioning of irrigation systems for major roads, highways, bridges, and landscape developments.

The role requires extensive PMC and construction supervision experience to ensure irrigation works meet project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (required).
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience (required).
• Extensive experience in major roads and bridges projects (required).
• Experience within PMC and construction supervision environments (required).
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, hydraulic design principles, and landscape infrastructure (required).
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure and transportation projects within the GCC region (preferred).
• Saudi Council of Engineers registration (preferred).
• Strong communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills (required).

Responsibilities

• Review and supervise irrigation design drawings, calculations, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and verify the quality of irrigation installation works.
• Review contractor method statements, material submittals, and testing procedures.
• Coordinate with civil, landscape, utility, and infrastructure teams to ensure proper integration of irrigation systems.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical recommendations to resolve engineering issues.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project quality requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare technical reports and progress updates.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities of irrigation networks and associated systems.
