Job summary

Al Waha Industrial - الواحة الصناعية, based in Jeddah, is launching a new division for food processing machinery and seeks a Senior Technical Engineer to lead it technically from first installation onward.

The role covers on-site installation, preventive maintenance, training of customer teams, and handling technical inquiries while coordinating with suppliers to meet customer needs across Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in field service, technical support or maintenance of industrial machinery.
• Hands-on experience with PLC-controlled machines: fault diagnosis on PLCs and HMIs, reading electrical and pneumatic schematics, sensors and drives.
• Food industry experience strongly preferred (processing or packaging lines).
• Fluent Arabic and English; French is a plus.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites within Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission machines at customers' plants.
• Carry out preventive maintenance visits and troubleshoot breakdowns on site.
• Train customers' operators and maintenance teams.
• Handle technical inquiries, prepare quotation and sample requests, and check supplier offers against what the customer actually needs.

About the role

Al Waha Industrial Factory, a Jeddah-based manufacturer, is launching a new business line supplying and servicing machinery for food producers in Saudi Arabia. We are looking for the engineer who will lead it technically, from the first installation onwards.

What you will do

• - Install and commission machines at customers' plants
• - Carry out preventive maintenance visits and troubleshoot breakdowns on site
• - Train customers' operators and maintenance teams
• - Handle technical inquiries, prepare quotation and sample requests, and check supplier offers against what the customer actually needs
• - Keep clear records: visit reports, machine checklists, project updates

What we are looking for
