Job summary

Sener is seeking a Senior Engineer – Building Structures in Saudi Arabia to lead structural design and delivery for Rail & Metro infrastructure within the Landbridge Program. You will analyze and design reinforced concrete and steel structures, review calculations, and coordinate with civil, architectural, geotechnical, MEP, and rail systems teams to ensure high-quality, code-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent accreditation is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering design experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Rail and Metro infrastructure projects (mandatory).
• Proven experience with transportation-related structures (stations, depots, bridges, facilities).
• Experience on major Rail, Metro, High-Speed Rail, or Integrated Transport programs.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
• Proven experience using structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, Robot).
• Familiarity with Eurocodes, ACI, AISC, BS Standards and related regs.
• Experience through concept to construction stages.
• English language proficiency.

Key Job Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineer – Building Structures, you will:

• Develop and review structural designs for Rail & Metro infrastructure projects, including stations, depots, maintenance facilities, operational buildings, bridges, and associated structures.

• Carry out structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete, steel, composite, and other structural systems.

• Prepare and review engineering calculations, design reports, technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation.

• Coordinate structural engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, architectural, geotechnical, MEP, rail systems, and project management disciplines.

• Ensure designs comply with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, value engineering exercises, and constructability assessments.

• Support interface management activities and resolve technical challenges across project disciplines.

• Assist discipline leads and project managers in monitoring design progress, technical quality, schedules, and resource requirements.

• Review technical submissions, design modifications, shop drawings, and engineering deliverables.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical innovation, and the implementation of engineering best practices.

Job Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage.

• Experience supporting projects through concept, detailed design, tender, and construction support stages.
