Job summary

Penspen is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Saudi Arabia to lead electrical engineering activities for major oil and gas projects. Based in Al Khobar, you will oversee design, construction and commissioning tasks and mentor engineers under the supervision of a Lead Electrical Engineer.

The ideal candidate has at least 12 years of relevant experience, PMC exposure, and familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical engineering for major oil and gas projects.
• PMC experience is preferable.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; construction/commissioning exposure advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor electrical engineers within the Core Engineering/PMT team.
• Delegate tasks to support personnel and ensure on-time delivery.
• Operate under supervision of Lead Electrical Engineer and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.

The primary location is Al Khobar, KSA.

The Senior Electrical Engineer may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMT project team environment. He may have engineer grade Electrical personnel under his responsibility and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support personnel. He may work under the supervision of a Lead Electrical Engineer in which case his responsibilities will be as delegated. The Senior Electrical Engineer may be in charge of any or all of the following tasks. The position is to be based in Saudi Arabia.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)

• At least twelve (12) years of experience;


• Eight (6) years of them within the field of Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects.


• PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.


• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial


• Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.


• Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering discipline.
