Job summary

AESG, a specialist consultancy and advisory firm with a global footprint, requires an experienced professional to conduct site inspections and verify test results for multi-discipline projects in the Middle East and beyond.

You will support commissioning activities, review design information, and ensure compliance with project specifications and codes of practice. A strong background in MEP/building services and several years of relevant experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in electrical or building services engineering is required.
• Experience in MEP/building services systems is essential.
• Professional qualifications in building services or related fields are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct site inspections for assigned disciplines.
• Review design information, tolerances and agreed methods of working.
• Assess whether test procedures and results meet project specifications and codes of practice.
• Assist with reviewing project documentation for compliance with specifications and codes of practice.
• Report issues clearly to senior team members.
• Liaise with contractors commissioning teams professionally.
• Maintain quality observations of installations onsite.
• Produce site observation reports and other documentation to high standards.
• Participate in meetings and workshops as required.
• Monitor installation progress, submittals and use of engineering tools according to guidelines.
• Track task completion with lookaheads and milestone trackers.
• Keep a detailed diary of events, inspections, reviewed documents, and authorities' decisions on site.

HNC, HND or equivalent

ONC, OND or equivalent

City & Guilds certificate
