Job summary

Schneider Electric - UAE is seeking a Senior Design Firms Field Sales Representative I who excels at blending technical insight with relationship building. You will partner with design firms during critical design phases to guide specifications and drive opportunities, while collaborating with internal teams to craft compelling offers.

The role requires 7+ years in specification or business development within electrical sectors, strong LV/MV/BMS knowledge, and fluency in Arabic and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in specification consultant engagement or business development within the electrical industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) Systems, Medium Voltage (MV) Systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), Integrated Building Technologies (IBT) / Smart Building Solutions.
• Proven experience in influencing specifications and driving consultant approvals during the design stage.
• Strong understanding of the construction, infrastructure, and building projects ecosystem.
• Demonstrated success in account development, acquisition, and retention.
• Strategic thinker with ability to prioritize independently and navigate ambiguity.
• Relationship builder who creates trust and long-term partnerships with customers.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and supports team success.
• Comfortable managing complex sales cycles with autonomy and minimal supervision.
• Must Arabic and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, design firms, and key project stakeholders.
• Create customer intimacy and establish Schneider Electric as a trusted partner during project design.
• Influence project specifications by providing technical expertise and solution recommendations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and BUs to identify opportunities and maximize project conversion.
• Support sales teams in securing consultant approvals and ensuring Schneider Electric solutions are included in specifications.
• Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer requirements to strengthen market positioning.
• Drive early engagement with stakeholders to increase specification wins and pipeline development.
• Coordinate with internal teams to position competitive technical and commercial offers.
• Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions for consultants, designers, and end users.
• Maintain accurate project tracking and provide updates on activities and opportunities.
