The position will work in a PMC and Client-facing environment where contract interpretation, documentation quality, commercial judgment, and timely administration directly influence cost exposure and project outcomes. The role will provide structured oversight of obligations, notices, variations, claims, payments, amendments, and final accounts while coordinating with contractors, consultants, designers, hotel operators, and commercial teams. Particular attention will be given to identifying scope overlap, duplicated entitlement, unsupported claims, and other contractual risks before they affect the client 's commercial position.
Ideal Profile The position requires a bachelor 's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or another closely related discipline. Candidates should have approximately 15 to 17 years of relevant experience in contract administration, commercial management, quantity surveying, or major project delivery. Strong experience within hospitality, hotel, luxury, mixed-use, or major building developments is highly important. The successful candidate should have worked in a PMC, Client, consultancy, or major contractor environment and be comfortable providing direct contractual advice to senior stakeholders. Comprehensive knowledge of FIDIC and bespoke construction and consultancy contracts is essential. Candidates should demonstrate substantial experience managing variations, claims, extension of time submissions, payments, negotiations, and commercial risk. Experience assessing disruption, prolongation, acceleration, and additional cost claims will strengthen suitability. GCC or broader Middle East project experience is required. The role requires the ability to interpret complex contractual provisions and develop clear, evidence-based recommendations. Strong analytical judgment, negotiation capability, stakeholder management, and written contractual communication are essential. Candidates should be able to manage several active contracts, claims, and change matters simultaneously in a fast-paced project environment. MRICS, MCIArb, or postgraduate qualifications in Construction Law or Contract Management are desirable.
